Dear Family and Friends,

As many of you know, this December our beloved grandma Johnson passed away from Leukemia. She was such an amazing person and has touched both of our lives in so many ways. That’s why this spring Jim and I have decided to raise money for Leukemia research by participating in a triathlon benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This will be a very special event in which our participation will benefit a very special cause close to our hearts.

Jim and I have joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program. Through this program, we have coaches, mentors and teammates whose support will help us cross the finish line.

More importantly than our physical commitment to the program is our commitment to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in its effort to battle Leukemia and related cancers. These diseases strike approximately 107,000 Americans each year and acute Leukemia is the number one cause of death of children under the age of 15.

We are not only competing in the triathlon for the Society, but also in honor of our Grandma Johnson. Research is the key to finding a cure, and funding for this research is essential. We have to raise a minimum of $3,000 to participate in this effort and any amount will help us achieve our ultimate goal.

With over 75% of your donation going directly to research, you truly can make a difference. However, we will continue to accept donations until the day of the race.
